I haven't come across a book that has this comprehensive of an explanation of how people become set up for compulsive and or addictive behaviors like this one. It really gives a clear explanation of the possible scenarios that set us up as children and how this manifests itself into our behaviors as adults.I am an adult in recovery living with another adult in recovery and the explanation of dry drunk syndrome was hugely helpful to me.
I think this is a great book for couples who are struggling to break free from past issues and move forward in a healthier way.

I actually had to read the book twice,, For a small book it is loaded with great information and insight. I ended up giving my copy to my friend and ordered myself anotherone. Well written and alot to digest.
